On Monday, November 16th, IGE’s Center for Women, Faith & Leadership (CWFL) hosted a webinar entitled, “Women of Faith's Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.” The event was held in conjunction with the 2020 Ministerial to Advance Freedom of Religion or Belief, the largest international conference convening government and civil society leaders to address religious freedom.

IGE's webinar featured five women of faith leaders from around the world who have integrated prayer and strategic planning to address challenges brought upon by the pandemic: Sister Adebola Daramola (Nigeria), Sister Beena Devasia Madhavath (India), Christy Anastas (Palestine), Sister Theresa Eke (Nigeria), and Vickie Blackson (USA/Ukraine/Zambia). The leaders are part of CWFL's Fellowship program and work in the areas of healthcare, orphan care, and religious freedom advocacy. Each woman shared about how the pandemic has impacted her community and how their faith made a difference in the way they addressed the challenges brought by the pandemic.
