From November 4-5, 2017, the Tibet Governance Lab (TibetGovLab) was launched in Washington, DC at George Washington University (GWU) campus. Over 75 Tibetan and international scholars, civic practitioners, NGOs, and social enterprise leaders took part in this unprecedented gathering. Building upon the work of IGE and its partners on Tibet since 2008, TibetGovLab seeks to serve as a global incubator for research on policy challenges, innovation, and design in the practice of governance in contemporary Tibet. The event was hosted by the Sigur Center for Asian Studies at GWU’s Elliott School of International Affairs and sponsored by IGE, the Henry Luce Foundation, and the Greta Johnson Bennett Foundation.
