Duaa Satti is an upcoming transfer student at George Mason University, expected to graduate in 2028 with a degree in Conflict Resolution & Analysis. Born in Chicago to a Sudanese family and raised in Qatar before immigrating to Virginia, Duaa brings a global upbringing and fluency in Arabic to her passion for diplomacy and conflict prevention. She previously served as an intern with Sadagaat-USA, supporting humanitarian initiatives for war-affected Sudanese communities, and has experience in communications work in the non-profit and community advocacy space.

As a Research Associate Intern with the Institute for Global Engagement, Duaa aims to deepen her knowledge and skill in interfaith dialogue and relational diplomacy, gaining hands-on exposure to how faith-based engagement can be leveraged as a tool for de-escalating conflict and building sustainable peace across divided communities. She brings relevant experience from her time as a Project Intern with the International Interfaith Peace Corps and Powersims Solutions, where she co-developed a peer-led digital simulation for the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence addressing youth challenges such as cyberbullying, extremism, hate speech, and violence. Duaa aspires to become a U.S. diplomat dedicated to fostering peace and reconciliation in conflict-affected regions.
