Vietnam Publishes IGE’s Seminal Volume on “Religion and Security”
Hanoi, Vietnam: IGE and its Vietnam government partner, the Institute for Religion and Belief at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (NAP), have published a bi-lingual Vietnamese-English version of the book, Religion and Security: The New Nexus in International Relations.
The groundbreaking volume was the first to explore the relationship between religious freedom and security and was edited by IGE founder Ambassador Robert Seiple and Dennis Hoover, editor-in-chief of IGE’s quarterly journal, The Review of Faith & International Affairs. This is the second foreign-language version of this book, joining a Chinese translation that IGE and a Chinese government think tank had published.
The book will serve as a unique resource for Vietnamese leaders in government, academia, and civil society. It will also serve as a key part of the curriculum of an upcoming Cross-Cultural Religious Literacy training that IGE and Vietnam National University's School of Interdisciplinary Studies will conduct in Vietnam in early 2022.
