Sr. Maureen Akaolisa is a Roman Catholic Nun from Nigeria belonging to the congregation of the Sisters of our Lady of Apostles and presently working in Liberia at St. Dominic's Catholic Church and Oscar Romero School for the Deaf in Bomi County. She is a special educator and has engaged in education, social and pastoral work over the years. These apostolates draw her to being in touch with the realities in the society; listening and attending to the cry of the poor and the needy. She has great interest in working with persons who are vulnerable and to be a voice to the voiceless through community development.
