IGE is pleased to announce that Serge Gihana has joined IGE as the Information Technology Program Officer. In this exciting new capacity, Serge will be in charge of the Institute’s websites, email communications, and office software and hardware needs.

Serge worked as Webmaster/Help desk for TASSC International, a DC based Non-profit organization which advocates for torture victims worldwide.

Born in Belgium, he grew up in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda where he achieved an Associate Degree in Information Technology from the National University of Rwanda. Before moving to the USA, Serge worked as a consultant for the Rwanda National Television where he supervised the Graphic/Multimedia design department.

He also worked for the RDG, a Rwandan IT company that empowers Government and Local communities to bridge the digital divide and contribute to poverty reduction

At IGE, Serge will be in charge of managing and updating IGE’s three websites as well as looking after the other technology needs of the Institute.
