IGE Co-convenes Counterterrorism Dialogue in China
The IGE delegation was led by Chris Seiple, IGE’s president emeritus, and included: BG (ret.) Michael Meese, chief operating officer of the American Armed Forces Mutual Aid Association; Geoff Davis, former U.S. Representative to Congress; Cole Durham, professor of law at Brigham Young University; and, James Chen, IGE’s executive director.
Chinese participants were drawn from government, security, business, and civil society sectors. Among them were representatives from the following institutions: Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chinese People’s Public Security University, and Chinese People’s Armed Police Forces Academy.
The dialogue was followed by a visit to Nanjing where the IGE delegation met with scholars at Nanjing University’s Collaborative Innovation Center of South China Sea Studies including Zhu Feng, executive director of the Center and one of China’s premier scholars of international relations.
