IGE Convenes Timely Webinar Featuring Models of Christian Peacemaking at Home and Abroad
On Monday, December 14th, 2020, the Institute for Global Engagement convened a timely webinar featuring models of Christian peacemaking at home and abroad.
IGE Senior Fellow Knox Thames moderated the panel featuring:
- Dr. Johnny Hill, Dean, Shaw University School of Divinity
- Christy Anastas, Co-founder, i61Collective and IGE Center for Women, Faith, & Leadership Fellow
- Father Fadi Daou, President, Adyan Foundation, Lebanon
- Dr. Andrea Bartoli, President, Sant’Egidio Foundation for Peace and Dialogue
The panelists shared about their peacebuilding work in the United States to confront injustice, challenges in the Middle East, and the work of Christians in Africa. They also shared how Christians and others can work together to resolve conflict, based out of Jesus’ call to love our neighbors. The panel featured different examples of peacebuilding work including reconciliation and building relationships through visitations. A recording of the webinar can be viewed here.
