Center for Women, Faith & Leadership Welcomes New 2025 Cohort to Fellowship Program
IGE’s Center for Women, Faith & Leadership is excited to welcome 11 Catholic, Muslim and Protestant women to the 2025 Global Multifaith Fellowship, Hybrid track. This cohort will run through December and is one of the most diverse groups the program has seen, with each Fellow from a different country: Cameroon, Egypt, Italy, Malawi, Mauritius, Nepal, Nigeria, Kenya, Thailand, the United States, and Uzbekistan.
The group’s orientation took place in early January with Fellows expressing their enthusiasm for being part of the program and anticipation for the journey ahead.
“I want to…express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to each and every one of you for being part of this incredible community. I am excited to see the incredible things we will accomplish together!” said Sister Chrysantus Onwurah, current Fellow and member of the Daughters of Divine Love Congregation in Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria.
The Global Multifaith Fellowship is built on three pillars: Identity Exploration as a Pathway to Resilient Leadership, Skill-building for Global Leadership Advancement, and Holistic Self-care for Sustainable Leadership. Each training session delves into a component of one of these pillars and focuses on advancing leadership skills, faith building, or providing effective mental health and self-care strategies.
A unique component for this cohort is that they will participate in two international workshops during the duration of the program. The first workshop will take place Spring 2025 in Hanoi, Vietnam, where the Fellows will visit historical sites and religious exhibits that immerse them in the culture and day-to-day of Hanoi. Additional programming will take place once a month online.
This year’s program will include joint sessions with the current Distance Learning cohort and alumni. Toward the end of the year, Fellows will have the opportunity to secure a grant for special projects that are related to the program through the Fellowship’s Capstone Initiative.
This year’s Hybrid cohort was made possible by grants from the Hilton Foundation and IGE. You can learn more about these Fellows and their unique leadership journeys here.
