Ru Sheng Hiestand is a senior at Wheaton College (IL), majoring in International Relations and minoring in Christian Formation & Ministry. Heavily involved in leadership, he has led a campus small-group Bible study,  volunteer-coached for a ministry equipping high school students to share the gospel, and been an RA. A lifelong interest in current affairs and a deep passion for living out his faith have brought him to IGE as a summer research associate,  where he is excited to explore this intersection and meaningfully contribute to its mission to see all people live out their beliefs, leading to the flourishing of societies.

Ru Sheng is a natural relationship-builder who brings an inquisitive, pragmatic mind to IGE, seeking to advance its mission while learning and growing along the way. In his free time, his love of the outdoors and sports finds him on evening strolls, hiking in the mountains,  watching sports, or sweating it out on the court or field. Nothing brings him greater joy than a good conversation with family and friends alike around the campfire, combining his love for connecting with the outdoors.
