Kristen Roeters

Senior Fellow, CWFL

Kristen Roeters is the Founder and CEO of Global Grant Strategies (GGS), a grant strategies and solutions company helping U.S. and international organizations successfully tell their stories to financial and organizational partners.

Prior to founding GGS, Kristen’s work included program development, advocacy for orphan and vulnerable children (OVC), grant writing and training, and program review/evaluation. For 17 years, Kristen worked at Bethany Christian Services (BCS); 12 years working alongside staff in Albania, Kosovo and Ukraine on behalf of OVC, and 6 years developing BCS’ foundations/grants portfolio and training. Kristen also spent 6 years in the “foundation world”, identifying, evaluating, and communicating funding opportunities in the Balkans, Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

Having spent 30+ years working within the global arena, Kristen has found that some of the most pressing stress points for leaders are: effectively communicating their organization’s story with those outside of their circle of expertise, finding time to develop that story, and strengthening their internal organizational capacity to engage with global donors.

Today, Kristen has the pleasure of working with organizations to develop grant strategies that utilize the combined strength of their global staff, bridging the gap between their stories and the audiences they are trying to reach.
