
Jamin Yang
Intern
Jamin is an intern at the Institute for Global Engagement and a graduate student studying Information Systems and Public Policy at Northeastern University.
During his studies, Jamin worked for Bread for the City and Dress for Success DC as a teaching assistant in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. It was through these experiences that he began exploring NGOs and public policy, working alongside passionate specialists in the Washington, DC, area to engage with communities. He also served as a Vote Ambassador and representative for the College of Engineering Master Council, facilitating connections between students, industry opportunities, and university resources.
Jamin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Tamkang University, where he was a member of the varsity rugby and softball teams. He was also involved in the Tamkang Campus Evangelical Fellowship (TKCEF) student fellowship, which allowed him to connect with inspiring individuals.
Before coming to the U.S. for his studies, Jamin spent several months in Armidale and Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, where he gathered insights from the University of New England and enjoyed the unique companionship of sheep and Aussie culture.
