Delaney Dickey

Intern

Delaney Dickey is a senior at Pepperdine University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a minor in Hispanic Studies. Delaney is also a Pepperdine Global Fellow and holds a Certificate of Conflict Management from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. She studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina which grew her appreciation for the richness of cultures and importance of diversity.

She is currently an Institute for Global Engagement intern because she continues to see the power of the freedom of religion and the impacts that religious freedom have in the world. Attending Pepperdine University and working as a Spiritual Life Advisor, Delaney has gotten to see the power of faith in people’s lives and the importance of the freedom to choose one’s faith. Growing up as a military child, Delaney expanded her international mindset and this influenced her decision to pursue advocacy during her time in Washington DC. Mixing these two life experiences has left Delaney with a strong desire for religious freedom globally, leading her to Institute for Global Engagement.

In the future, Delaney hopes to continue working in the non-profit sector, mixing her passions and her skills to help others. Ultimately aiming to pursue law, Delaney hopes to attend law school to aid her in the endeavors in the non-profit sector.
