This workshop trained 59 people on peace-building and conflict resolution skills, including 10 religious representatives from the Buddhist, Lao Evangelical Church, and Baha’i faiths. During the seminar, participants engaged in peace-building workshops and learned about the meaning of conflict, peacemaking, and justice. Participants also learned how to improve their communication, negotiation, and mediation skills.

This was the first seminar of its kind in the Savannakhet Province, and many of the participants expressed that they would like to attend this workshop again in the future. IGE is working with its Lao country partners to host more peace-building seminars in 2013.
