In a live podcast interview for Congregational Resource Radio, IGE President Dr. Chris Seiple reviewed the 2009 International Religious Freedom Report, released in October 2009. The Report is issued annually by the U.S. Department of State’s Office of International Religious Freedom, and it provides a comprehensive evaluation of the status of religious freedom in every country. In the podcast, Dr. Seiple assessed the progress of religious freedom since the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998 and how Christian congregations can think about the church’s role in furthering freedom of religion abroad. Dr. Seiple recently co-authored International Religious Freedom Advocacy, and he has been a leading voice in the religious freedom community for many years.
