Dr. Fanang is currently a preacher at the Yangon Kachin Baptist Church in Myanmar. She has a Doctorate of Theology and many Masters Degrees including a Masters of Theology, Masters of Divinity, Masters of Research in Physics, Masters of Science in Engineering Physics, as well as a Bachelors in Physics. For many years, Dr. Fanang was in the academic world as a professor at the Myanmar Institute of Theology. She has also led many lectures and has written many academic articles. Her areas of expertise include Biblical Hebrew, History of Ancient Israel, Old Testament World, History of Interpretation, and Wisdom Literatures. Dr. Fanang was named valedictorian and the graduation speaker for the class of 2007 at Myanmar Institute of Theology. She presented her thesis entitled “Reclaiming Dissenting Voice of Job for Myanmar Churches'' on the 55th anniversary of Theology Day on November 3, 2018. Dr. Fanang has always been invested in her local church and has even served as a bible school teacher for lay people and deacons.
