Caren McNelly McCormack

CWFL 2019-20 USA Fellow

Caren McNelly McCormack advocates for rural Kenya children through creating access to holistic, early childhood and primary education. She is the President of The Kilgoris Project, which her Christian faith led her to co-found in 2004. The Kilgoris Project builds and operates local schools, provides student meals and healthcare, operates social businesses, and partners with local communities and churches.

A leukemia and stem cell transplant survivor, she now serves on a national campaign board for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She also serves on the advisory board for AllThingsNew.tech, a multi-media effort exploring the intersection of technology and Christianity.

Caren earned a B.A. in Journalism from Texas Tech University and a M.S. in Integrated Marketing and Communications from Northwestern University. Born in Texas, she now resides in northern California with her husband and two daughters.
