This month, IGE President Dr. Chris Seiple and IGE Board Chairman Dr. Bob Roberts will travel throughout the Middle East. The trip features attending the U.S.-Islamic World Forum in Doha, Qatar, from February 16-18, 2008, which is co-sponsored by the Emir of Qatar and the Brookings Institution. This marks the second year that Seiple and Roberts have attended the annual, invite-only event, where both have previously spoken. The Forum “…seeks to address the critical issues dividing the United States and the Muslim world by providing a unique platform for frank dialogue, learning, and the development of positive partnerships between key leaders and opinion shapers from both sides.” Participants will engage in cross-cultural discussions as well as practical workshops. In addition to attending the Forum, Seiple and Roberts will visit several countries in the region.
