IGE Hires Program Officer for Religion, Security, and Gender

The Institute for Global Engagement is pleased to announce that Kristen Lundquist will join the organization as Program Officer for Religion, Security, and Gender. In this position Lundquist will oversee IGE's Women for Peace initiative and its initiatives in majority-Muslim countries.

IGE's Relational Diplomacy Results in Historic Accord
05 April 2010
On 30 March 2010, IGE signed an agreement with the Lao government to deepen and expand religious freedom there in a manner that builds social stability and encourages sustainable development. The accord capped a 10-day trip to Vietnam and Laos through which IGE's relational diplomacy engaged leaders at the national and local levels.

IGE Senior Fellow Suhail Khan attended the fourth "Nyon Process" meeting in Istanbul, Turkey, in March 2010. The Nyon Process, a sub-dialogue of the United Nation's Alliance of Civilizations, convenes faith-based actors and secular institutions to discuss peace-building.
