Karin Christianson
Karin Christianson is a 2010 spring intern at IGE. Karin is an undergraduate student at Gordon College pursuing a dual degree in Political Studies and French. She has been an active member of her college's campus community.
Tracy Piersma
Tracy Piersma is an intern at the Institute for Global Engagement for the spring of 2010. She recently graduated from Hope College with degrees in International Studies and German.
Ellen Richardson
Ellen Richardson is an undergraduate intern for the spring 2010 semester. As a senior at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, Ellen is pursuing a B.A. in International Relations with a focus on International Development Studies.
Joseph Morrison
Joseph Morrison is a 2009 fall intern at IGE. Joseph, a junior at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY, is currently pursuing his BA in political science. Joseph has participated in several service learning projects abroad.
Allison Wilhite
Allison Wilhite is a 2009 fall intern at IGE. Allison is an undergraduate student at Stonehill College pursuing a degree in International Studies with a focus on Latin America and Political Science.
Jessica Smelser
Jessica Smelser is a recent graduate of Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida, where she earned two bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies, with a minor in International Affairs and Arabic.
Nate Johnson
Nate Johnson was a 2009 summer intern at IGE. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
Andrew Wiegand
A.J. Wiegand was a 2009 summer intern at IGE working specifically with the East Asia program. A.J. is an undergraduate student in the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University.
Samuel N. Jindoyan

Samuel Jindoyan was a 2009 summer intern at IGE. He is a senior at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, double majoring in International Affairs and Philosophy.
Peter Dyrud
Peter Dyrud is a 2008 graduate of Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he earned a Master in Public Policy degree, writing his Policy Analysis Exercise on American interests in the China-India relationship for the National Security Council's Senior Director for Strategic Planning.
John Fournelle
John Fournelle was interning with IGE for the Spring 2009 Semester. He is attending the American Studies Program here in Washington D.C. Originally from Northwestern College, MN, he is pursuing an Interdisciplinary Studies Major in Political Science and American History.
Hannah Kett
Hannah is a junior at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, with a double major in History and Journalism. At IGE she was working with Vietnam and Laos program director Hien Vu. Hannah grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and hopes to focus on journalism after graduation.
Caitlin Coast
Caitlin Coast was interning with IGE for the spring 2009 semester. She is currently a senior at The George Washington University, where she is double majoring in international affairs and archaeology and will graduate in May.
Stephen Wong
Stephen Wong was an intern with IGE for the spring 2009 semester. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a French minor at Grove City College near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
William Shafferman
William Shafferman was a 2009 summer intern at IGE. He is a pursuing a Bachelor in Political Science at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.
Daniel Beck

Daniel Beck was an intern at IGE summer of 2008 and graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations.
Bryan Dean

Bryan was an intern at IGE spring of 2008 and is currently attending Bethel University where he is double majoring in Political Science and English Literature and Writing.
Tim Graff

Tim was an intern at IGE spring of 2008 while on the Calvin Study Abroad Program. He graduated from Calvin College summer of 2008 where he studied Political Science and History.
Veronica Castro

Veronica is currently studying at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University. She hopes to study in Egypt before graduating, and hopes to pursue a career in international human rights.
Tim Hall

Tim was an intern at IGE summer of 2008. He attends Wheaton College where he studies International Relations and concentrates on Middle Eastern issues and Spanish.
Julie DeMareo

Julie studies International Affairs and Religion at George Washington University and expects to graduate May of 2010.
Victoria Mangam

Victoria was an intern at IGE summer of 2008. She is currently studying at George Mason University where she is double majoring in Global Affairs and Communication with possible concentrations in European Studies and Journalism.
Stacey Rocque
Stacey was an intern at IGE in the fall of 2007 and recently graduated from George Washington University with a degree in International Relations. Stacey is now working at the Foreign Service Institute.
Jeff McKay

Jeff was an intern at IGE in the fall of 2007 and graduated from Wheaton College in 2008 with a degree in Communications. He now lives in New Zealand and will be marrying in December of 2008.
James Frank

James was an intern for IGE during the summer of 2007 and now works at Bread for the World as the Online Communication Associate.
Drew Curle

Drew was an intern at IGE during the summer of 2007, and is currently attending the University of Illinois College of Law where he is expecting to graduate in 2010.
Stacey Pistritto

Stacey was an intern at IGE during the summer of 2007 and is now an administrative assistant/research assistant at the Egyptian Embassy's Press and Information Office.
Danny Dedeyan

Danny completed his MA in International Affairs at George Washington University in December 2004. Until December 2006 he had been involved with the Marine Corps in developing relations with the Middle East.
Rachael Boeve

Rachael was an intern at IGE summer of 2006 and graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in English Writing and a minor in Political Science. She currently is the Executive Assistant at the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty.
Simone Hörst

Simone was an intern at IGE during the summer of 2007 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in English at Virginia Tech.
David Jasperse
David was an intern at IGE during the spring of 2007. HE graduated from Calvin College and is currently pursuing a career in medicine.
Bennett Graham

Bennett was an intern at IGE during the summer of 2006 and now works as the Legislative and International Programs Officer for the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty.
Matt Vinson
Matt is currently in the Dominican Republic as part of his Master of Divinity training at Princeton Theological Seminary, and is being hosted by the Foundation for Peace. He then plans to either pursue a PhD or become ordained.
Melissa Wesely
Since July 2006 Melissa has served as Director of Youth Ministry at Our Lady of the Lake Parish, a Catholic church in the Franciscan tradition in Ashland, Wisconsin.
Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove
Jonathan was an intern at IGE during the spring of 2003 and graduated from Eastern University and Duke Divinity School. He is currently an Associate Minister at St. John's Baptist Church as well as the director of the School for Conversion.
Allison Pickens
Allison was an intern at IGE during the summer of 2006 and is currently attending Yale University where she is majoring in Political Science.
Domenick Rowe
Domenick Rowe was a graduate (cum laude) of the Templeton Honors College at Eastern University, where he studied Political Science and Near Eastern Affairs.
Dane Shelly
Dane was an intern at IGE from 2001-2004 and is currently working as a consultant in the national security field.
Jesse Seiple
Jesse graduated from George Mason University with an MA in Conflict Resolution and is now a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corp.
Heather Ba (Somerville)
Heather is currently a graduate fellow at Villanova University focusing on the political development of Africa. She is also the assistant editor for the Journal of Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern Affairs.
Rebecca St. Julien

Rebecca was an intern at IGE during the summer of 2002 and currently works as the Resource Development and Communications Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity Lebanon.
Rae Stremel

Rae is currently working in Chungli, Taiwan teaching English to children, and she continues to pursue a career in international relations and development.
Show Tun
Ms. Tun graduated with a B.A. in Economics, Finance, and Ecological Economics from Eastern University in May 2001. In May 2006 she graduated from the masters program at Johns Hopkins University's School for Advanced International Studies.
Kathleen Fairchild

Kathleen was intern for IGE during the fall of 2006. She just recently completed the MA program in International Peace and Conflict Resolution at the School of International Service at American University, as well as completing the Master of Theological Studies Program at Wesley Theological Seminary.
Kristen Minichello
Kristen was an intern at IGE during the spring of 2002 and graduated from Eastern University with a B.A. in Sociology in May 2002. She is currently involved in an English as a Second Language Program for Somali refugees.
Sarah Pfeiffer

Sarah was an intern at IGE in spring 2007 and is currently a graduate student earning her MA in anthropology.
Karin Zylstra
Karin was an intern at IGE during the summer of 2006 and graduated from Wheaton College May of 2008. She is currently working in Cambodia with the Mennonite Central Committee.
Kari Milligan

Kari was an intern at IGE during the summer of 2006 and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Taylor University with degrees in History and Political Science. She is currently attending Yale Law School.
Nathan Jones
In 2006, Nate joined Wycliffe Bible Translators and then in 2007 he joined SIL international. Nate and his wife have been assigned to work in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Heidi Jutsum
Heidi was an intern at IGE during the fall of 2003 and currently splits her time between her position as Executive Director on the International Humanitarian Foundation and the World Performance Project.
